Well, time sure is flying! Sadie’s hit 10 months now. She is now crawling, eating real foods (mostly), walking around tables and just as fun as ever! I’ve finally found my long lost video camera so hopefully I’ll be able to start posting videos of her (check back for Sadie’s first Christmas video)!

Here are Christmas card pictures we took with Jen’s parents and brother.

It must be a new season because another blog post is upon us! Here are some pictures of the family with Grammy who came in from Maine to see her first great-granddaughter and we had a great time visiting with her. Here are some pictures taken while she was here, including a 4-generation picture! Enjoy!

For months now Sadie has been drooling and chewing and showing numerous signs of teething (luckily no(t much) screaming and no fever!) and finally her very first tooth is in! We don’t have photo evidence just yet, it’s only barely pushing through, but you can definitely feel it in all its glory! She got it in last Saturday, the day Jen and I returned from our trip to Cabo! We went down from the 7th through the 12th for my best friend (Jacob) and his wife (Jennifer’s) wedding! The wedding was beautiful (with the beach and the Sea of Cortez for a backdrop, of course it was) and we had a lot of fun. We came home Saturday just in time for Sadie’s Baby Dedication at our church on Sunday! It was such a fun day and I will put up pictures soon!

Here are some updated pictures of our 6 month old baby girl (soon to be 7 months old).
Here she is with her little boyfriend Jonas. Jonas is the son of some friends of ours (Joey and Natalie) and was born two days after Sadie just down the hall! He’s her oldest friend!

Here she is being adorable with her mommy holding her (after they just went swimming with Jonas and his mommy).

Here is her Uncle Josh holding her. She has recently discovered her tongue and lips and loves to make noises with them!

And Sadie taking a Daddy Nap. (One of the favorite parts of my day!)

And here she is showing you that she has a belly button!

I just dumped all the pictures off my camera, which it seems only happens once every couple months. Here is a little bit of foreshadowing to our eventful fireworks show:

This is Julia - Jen’s cousin’s daughter - and her dad (Brian) feeding Sadie (Julie just loved Sadie! Such a natural!)

And this is from a couple weeks ago. We had Sushi night at my brother and sister-in-law’s house a couple of weeks ago where my sister-in-law (Luisa) made us homemade sushi. Not only is it a lot of fun and way cheaper to make it yourself, it tastes great too!

Last night we decided to have a small celebration for Sadie’s Half Birthday at our signature restaurant, Margarita and Peppers (this is the restaurant where I asked Jen’s parents for their blessing to marry their daughter, the restaurant we ate at after I proposed to Jen, the restaurant we had our rehearsal dinner, and many other occasions as well). Since Sadie is not old enough to pick Chuck E Cheese or Libby Lu, we chose for her. We even had cake to celebrate (Sadie only had icing).

That just can’t be right… We brought her home from the hospital yesterday…right? Is our little girl really 6 months old?! Where did the time go?! What happened to 2:00 AM naps on daddy’s chest after a late night bottle? What happened to mommy’s hand draped into the bassinet at night to keep the pacifier in so we could all get a little sleep? Are those days gone for good? They seem to have been replaced with laughs and grins, sitting up on her own, putting in her own pacifier, eating real food and sleeping through the night in her own room. It’s bittersweet watching your baby grow out of baby and into little girl. There’s so much that you miss, but one smile when you make a silly face or two tiny hands reaching up to hold you makes everything worth it. We are so blessed to have such a healthy, perfect baby and we are looking forward to every day we spend with her and every new thing she learns and we’ll miss every baby trait that gets drowned out by new little girl mannerisms.
Happy Half Birthday Princess.

Today is the 2nd Anniversary of the first time Jen and I ever met (officially). At a Hillsong United Concert at Lakewood Church with some friends from the Ark I remember walking up the stairs to our seats where another Ark group had already claimed our territory and there she was. My eyes went straight to her and I immediately wanted to meet her. I knew who she was from our youth group just 10 years prior, but we had never officially met, and this was the first time I had seen her since moving back to Conroe. We began talking that day, had our first official date a couple of days later and have not been apart a single day since that time! With all my heart I love that beautiful girl at the top of the stairs!
