That just can’t be right… We brought her home from the hospital yesterday…right? Is our little girl really 6 months old?! Where did the time go?! What happened to 2:00 AM naps on daddy’s chest after a late night bottle? What happened to mommy’s hand draped into the bassinet at night to keep the pacifier in so we could all get a little sleep? Are those days gone for good? They seem to have been replaced with laughs and grins, sitting up on her own, putting in her own pacifier, eating real food and sleeping through the night in her own room. It’s bittersweet watching your baby grow out of baby and into little girl. There’s so much that you miss, but one smile when you make a silly face or two tiny hands reaching up to hold you makes everything worth it. We are so blessed to have such a healthy, perfect baby and we are looking forward to every day we spend with her and every new thing she learns and we’ll miss every baby trait that gets drowned out by new little girl mannerisms.
Happy Half Birthday Princess.
